FRIENDLY FLORIDIAN ADVENTURES: POLICIES, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS
1.) What is an "Adventure Companion"? An Adventure Companion is a term I created to describe someone who can plan, coordinate and accompany you on outdoor excursions in Florida. You can hire me to provide coaching services and coordinate a unique, Florida, outdoor experience, or to accompany you on an experience you have planned.

2.) Fossil Tours: I frequently partner with my good friends at Mudslinger's Tours in Gainesville, FL and at Fossil Recovery Explorations in Arcadia, FL, to help with their excellent, group fossil hunting tours. When fossil hunting, conditions and localities can vary dramatically. There are never guarantees of quality or quantity of finds. Per Florida Law, a Fossil Hunting Permit must be acquired to collect any vertebrate fossils. My multi-user permit will cover you when you hunt with me. All finds must be reported to the Florida Museum of Natural History at the end of the year and the state has 60 days from then to claim any fossil they deem scientifically important. No bank digging or collection of native artifacts is permitted.

3.) Sponsored Dives: I regularly dive for fossils and shark teeth out of the Venice, FL area with Black Gold Fossil Charters. Conditions and localities can vary dramatically. There are never guarantees of quality or quantity of finds. Per Florida Law, all finds must be reported to the Florida Museum of Natural History at the end of the year, and the state has 60 days from then to claim any fossil they deem scientifically important. No collection of native artifacts is permitted.

4.) Payments: I require payment in full prior to the start of our selected service. If you are paying in cash, payment is due upon arrival. You will be contacted in advance if your event is cancelled. I usually only cancel due to dangerous conditions or illness. If you must reschedule, refunds will be issued at my discretion.

5. Waivers of Liability: Waivers of liability are required for you and each member of your party at most trip venues. We will also sign a coaching agreement that discloses the nature and limitations of our collaboration. These should be signed at or before the start of our trip. Refusal to sign results in a refusal of service due to the potential risks and unpredictable nature of our activities. Every reasonable effort will be made to ensure your safety and comfort during our time together.

6.) Additional Rules: I will advise you of any rules, legalities or safety protocols that must be followed when we meet. Please make sure to adhere to these rules as not doing so could result in serious consequences. I want to keep our adventures positive, exciting and fun for everyone involved, as we embrace a spirit of discovery. Should I observe theft, abuse of equipment or disrespectful conduct, I will contact you directly and you may be asked to leave. An additional fee of $100.00 per day will be assessed at my discretion until the matter is resolved. I appreciate your business and look forward to meeting you!
